"nest" and creativity

What does it take to be creative? Interestingly, current research (I'm reading "Imagine" right now) says that you need skills, but also need to know when to let go of getting something done to let the creativity of thought break through.

I have been working on a table runner, and had all these scraps. Finally, after piecing two rows, I took an extra square along with the scraps and "let go" and made this nest card. It feels more spontaneous and joyful than the table runner which was trying to be spontaneous!
